What size is best for my child?
Babies come in all shapes and sizes some are big for their age, others small, tall, chubby or thin. In adults, we account for this by making clothes with different dress sizes, cuts, waist & chest measurements, all clearly laid out in order to help the discerning customer. For some reason, when it comes to babies, designers only size by age.
To help you, we have therefore started to measure all of our products and add a unique sizing chart to each item. This is an ongoing process, as we do have a very large product range, so please bear with us.
All measurements are with garment laid flat and given in inches and cm, as follows:.
Tops/Dresses/Coats
Chest: measured across front and doubled.
Length: measured from nape of neck to hemline unless low neck such as a dress then measured from highest point of shoulder to hemline.
Sleeve length: measured from underarm (u/a) to cuff
Trousers/Skirts/Shorts
Waist: measured across front and doubled
Elasticated waist will show two sizes (16-20") to show stretch
Leg: measured from waist to hem
Inside leg: measured from crotch to hem
